We Are Expanding to Kumasi!!!

On the 8th of November, 2018, Environment360, working with the Oforikrom Dagomba Line Scrap Dealers Association had a workshop to discuss the various categorizations of plastic, ways to identify them and a focus on PET identification and preparation for recycling. This fits into the scope of our project in Kumasi which is in collaboration with GIZ.

Facilitation was led by the Business Development Manager of Environment360,David Ablorh Mensah. Two sessions were organized for a total of 57 members of the association.

Participants were also taken through the process of easily identifying plastic materials using the distinct characteristics of each material, the plastic codes and by show of material.

Some participants took turns to teach and explain to their colleagues, what they have learnt from the workshop. This made it easier for the participants to relate to each other and learn from their colleagues as well.

This exercise was used to gauge the understanding of the participants with regards to the issues discussed.
