Impact the lives of public school students here.

Float Your Boat is Environment360’s innovative annual fundraiser and competition which creates environmental education programs for school children in coastal and urban regions as well as raise awareness about environmental issues in Ghana. The competition allows teams of five to build boats made from plastic bottles and race them in order to raise funds for our environmental education programs. It also helps students discover fun ways to re-use their plastic waste, thereby reducing the amount of waste we generate in our environment that ends up in the landfill. The competition which is slated for the 27th of April, 2019, is under the theme “The Race For Sustainability”.

The core aim of this project is to instill the values of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) in the lives of students. Environment360 acknowledges that, waste, particularly plastic waste, is a fundamental problem to our sanitation issues faced in Ghana. Hence, we believe in instilling the values of proper waste management in the lives of students through entertainment-education.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of Float Your Boat competition. We acknowledge the necessity in making every edition special and hence would need the support of your esteemed organization to aid in broadcasting the message of a sustainable environment by keeping Ghana clean and green on your platform. We would like Ghanaians to feel part of the concept of protecting our environment by Reducing, Reusing and Recycling the materials we use. The children involved in this project will be overwhelmed by your support to cheer them on as they unravel their talents in building a boat using plastic bottles. We would truly appreciate any time and/or space allocated to us to speak on this project.

As an NGO, Environment360 has been supporting its own school programs without a core funding. Hence, we need the support of the communities we serve which includes your community, to support our school programs. Through our school programs, we have educated over 65,000 students on proper waste management and waste segregation.

Supporting the 5th Annual Float Your Boat enables you/ your organization to inspire, engage and empower exceptional young students to become tomorrow’s leaders. As a partner of the Float Your Boat competition, you will be provided with valuable opportunities to enable your organization:

 Be sanitation ambassadors and aid in the fight against plastic pollution in Ghana.

 Build relationships with our sponsors for future purposes.

 Fulfil its Corporate Social Responsibility towards a sustainable environment.

 Maintain a healthy relationship with children between the ages of 9-16.

To support the vision of ensuring the future of a sustainable environment, we look forward to you adopting a public school. Let's race for sustainability!
