Cordie Aziz,

Founder & Executive Director

Cordie Aziz is the Founder and Executive Director of Environment360. Ms. Aziz is passionate about creating clean communities by leveraging the informal work force and the strength of the community. Under her leadership, the organization has grown to handle more than GHS 2 million Ghana cedis in projects. She believes in creating indigenous systems to address poor waste management in West Africa. Her passion led her to create the first successful plastic collection scheme for communities in Ghana.  


Before starting Environment360, Ms. Aziz worked for the United States Congress on the Committee on Homeland Security. She also served as the Public Relations Director for the NJATC, the largest apprenticeship training program in the United States. She holds a bachelor degree in Mass Communications from Jackson State University and a master degree in Public Administration from Bowie State University, both located in the United States.



Wanida Lewis, Ph.D. serves as the Director of Programs and Strategic Partnerships.  Dr. Lewis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Saint Augustine's University, Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from North Carolina Central University and a doctoral degree in Food Science from North Carolina State University.  Wanida is a recipient of several accolades including the German Marshall Fund of the United States Marshall Memorial Fellowship and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellowship.  In 2013, the Dr. Wanida E. Lewis Food Science Fellowship Program Endowment was announced in her honor at North Carolina State for her groundbreaking doctoral research in peanut science and her dedication to mentoring students of color. 


As a AAAS Fellow working in the Economic and Business Affairs Bureau (EB), Office of Agricultural Policy at the Department of State, Dr. Lewis expanded the bureau’s engagement on women’s empowerment through the development of signature programs targeting women and girls in Ghana, Togo, Ethiopia and South Africa.  Dr. Lewis served at U.S. Embassy Accra as an Embassy Science Fellow where she founded and launched Young, Gifted, & Brown, LLC, a pipeline program targeted for young women and entrepreneurs in STEM. Her work has been featured in’s article entitled “Black American National Security and Foreign Policy Next Generation Leaders”. 



Masen is currently the Senior Programs Officer. He is an Environmental Scientist with seven years of experience consulting on environment and sanitation related projects including soil and water remediation, remote sensing and Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and environmental policy and strategy development projects. He has gathered extensive experience creating, managing, and supporting community waste recycling projects across the country. He has also supervised environmental impact assessment projects with both small and large formal/informal teams for Private Equity (PE), Development Financial Institutions (DFI), and Central and Local Government funded projects in Ghana.



Emmanuel currently works as a program coordinator and social media manager for Environment360. He is a hardworking and results oriented person with a background in environmental engineering and more than a year working experience in Solid waste management.  Mr. Manu has knowledge in areas of Water, Waste Management, Air Quality Monitoring, together with other areas of environmental engineering. He also has practical experience in the field of graphic designing, skillful with the use of Adobe Photoshop and other Engineering softwares.



Eric is a Logistics and supply chain specialist, adaptable, responsible and hardworking with a vast experience in Procurement, Warehouse management, inventory management, Product-line management, Sales and marketing, Promotion Coordination, Product Advertising Publicity, Information technology and communication skills developed through his involvement with J.A Plant Pool, Lexta Ghana, Index link during and after his education. He is currently working as the operations manager for Environment360 and ensures on site coordination of materials from the various collection points and superts with logistics


Miss Joan is currently a national service personnel at Environment360. As a coordinator, Joan is currently handling part of logistic activities and administrative work. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science (Petroleum Geoscience Major), she has acquired practical academic and field knowledge in Mining Exploration, Environmental Science, Hydrology, Petroleum Geology and Engineering Geology as well as all fields of study inclusive under Earth Science. As a member and the judicial chairperson of West African Institute of Mining., Metallurgy and Petroleum (WAIMM Legon Chapter), Miss Joan enhanced her practical experience in the fields under Earth Science and acquired knowledge and training in basic soft skills. Working as an intern at Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (National Data Centre) and as an intern at the Oda Government hospital, Joan acquired some basic knowledge in geophysics and on medical conditions/ administration of drugs respectively in these institutions.



Miss Elfreda is a hardworking and results oriented person with a bachelors degree in Forest Resources Technology (a major in Land Reclamation and Rehabilitation). She has a year working experience from Perseus Mining Ghana Limited as an Environmental Officer and also from the National Disaster and Management Organization. As a national service personnel, she is currently serving as a the coordinator for the schools project. She also has a strong background in areas of Water, Waste Management, Air Quality Monitoring, together with other areas of environmental management systems.
